What Christianity means to me
“Man is born broken. He lives by mending. The grace of God is glue.”
-Anne Lamott
A lot of people have negative associations with the word "Christian." Frankly, I do too. In the States, there's a stereotype of Christianity that means gun-toting, judgmental, right wing conservative.
I fall into uncomfortable territory for a lot of people, Christians and non-Christians alike. I'm not a Republican. I don't like guns. I love gays. I love people in general. And it's hard for us to wrap our minds around people who don't fit neatly into our little boxes.
My purpose on this earth isn't to judge or condemn those who don't live life the way I do. My purpose on this earth is to serve my God and share His love.
The truth of the matter is this- I love Jesus. Plain and simple. I am a deeply flawed human in need of much grace and much forgiveness, and Jesus is my salvation. Jesus is my hope.

Very well put. There's room for Christians of all kinds, as long as we love God and love others. We are all a work in progress, depending daily on the grace of God. <3
